Ornamental Angel

I'm on Thanksgiving break, just like the kiddies, but I didn't want to leave you all hanging with no new cards to gander at for the rest of the week. I really love the angel image I used for this card, and I thought about using this angel for our family Christmas card this year. Unfortunately, I would be coloring the angels until probably mid March to finish 80 cards, and my eyes would be bugging out for months afterwards. That being said, I still love this image. Karen Lockhart puts so much detail into her stamp designs - don't you think?

I started this card by stamping the angel image on PT white paper. I picked some Copic markers that I thought would look nice colored on this angel. I colored the angel, and distressed the edges to make it look sort of antiquey. I cut the oval out using the Creative Memories cutting system. I cut the word Noel out of some decorative paper, and I put the card together on a forest green card base. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
Paper: SU forest; SU baroque burgundy; PT white
DP: unsure
Ink: Memories black; Copic markers
Stamps: Karen Lockhart Angel with ornaments
Misc.: SU ticket corner punch; Creative Memories cutting system; SU kraft taffeta ribbon; SU jeweled brads

Quote of the day: "Life is just a blank slate; what matters most is what you write on it." -Christine Frankland
