Fall quilt

I really do love these quilt squares! I gained inspiration for the colors in these quilt squares from a book called, "The Quilt Maker's Journey." It is a beautifully illustrated children's book. There is a prequel called, "The Quilt Maker's Gift." You should check them out if you ever need some color inspiration.

I started this card by stamping the quilt squares on white paper and coloring them in - with Copic markers of course! My next step was to find a card base that I thought would look good with the colored quilt squares. I decided SU pumpkin spice looked the best. I punched the quilt squares out, and matted them on SU summer sun paper, and again on SU chocolate chip. I looked through my fall pattern paper, and picked a pattern from the SU Haiku paper - love it! I was going to wrap a brown taffeta ribbon around the card, but decided the green satin added a nice touch of color. I finished the card by stamping a sentiment from PT's Quilter's Sampler stamp set.

Ingredients:
Paper: SU pumpkin spice; SU summer sun; SU chocolate chip; PT white
DP: SU Haiku
Stamps: PT Quilter's sampler
Ink: Memories black; SU chocolate chip; Copic markers
Misc.: SU Kiwi kiss satin ribbon

Sally - I just left a post that is potentially buried as I finally commented on the beautiful cards you created for me to give to Gloria. So FUN!!! I would encourage anyone reading this blog and considering buying some cards from Sally - go for it. She's competetive with Hallmark and quality is sooooo much better. How can you beat a homemade, handmade, creative card??

Thanks again Sally - and I'm so glad you've started taking your show on the road!
