Backpack notes

My friend Heather, who has always been so supportive of my crafting as well as my life in general, ordered some cards to put in her 2nd grade daughter's back pack and lunch box for a little pick me up during the day. The first photo shows a conglomeration of the cards. I will show and give the details on each one over the next week or two.

For the card you see above, I stamped the flowers onto white paper using different colored inks. I cut out each flower, and punched out the two orange flowers using the 1" SU circle punch. The bigger flowers are glued onto the card base, and the two orange flowers were adhered to the card using foam dimensionals. When I went to stamp the sentiment, I was going to use black ink when the white ink pad caught my eye. I thought I would try the white for something different. I think it adds just a subtle touch of oooh la la. I added glitter glue made by Gary M. Burlin & Co. to the centers of the flowers. I guess you can't really tell by the picture, but the glitter does add a bit of glitz! I think this card would look really neat using stamped and cut out leaves in the fall too.

Ingredients:
Paper: SU kraft, SU white
Ink: SU pumpkin; SU pixie pink; SU certainly celery; SU cool carribean; SU craft white
Stamps: SU Gigantic flowers

Sally - your cards are WONDERFUL. I felt like I got a little Backpack treat myself when I opened your box. It's been so fun delighting Gloria with a random note here and there. You're so talented. Let me know when you start mass producing - you'll be in charge of my Christmas letter. Once I start doing Christmas letters.
