The many facets of Anna
Yesterday was my daughter Anna's birthday! She had a great day! It started out with donuts for breakfast - surprise! For any of you who don't know me personally, that is a big deal at our house. We usually stick to the healthy stuff - especially on school days. Later, I went to have lunch with her at school. I even played a couple rounds of helicopter with her during recess. Those girls get a little wild with the jump rope, and I didn't want to end up with a gigantic bruise on my shin, so I sat out after awhile. I also had the pleasure of reading a chapter of a book,of Anna's choosing, to her class. I was a bit nervous for that. I know they are just fourth graders, but I didn't want them thinking I was a boring reader.
After school, one of Anna's friends surprised her with some beautiful roses for her birthday - oh yeah - and a box of Nerds - I'm not sure which Anna liked better. :) Lastly, her dad brought home pizza from Tony's (at Anna's request), and she opened her gifts from the family. She truly had a great day filled with love and blessings from many people! The good news for Anna is the celebration will continue tonight! She is starting to take after her mom, who likes to have many days of birthday fun - not just one! Have a great weekend all!
Quote of the day: "Magic is believing in yourself. If you can do that, you can make anything happen." -Foka Gomez
Today's quote is inspired by how Anna lives every day!
